We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about TLF’s mission of empowering and supporting marginalized groups through direct action and community-based campaigns. We are seeking applicants who are committed to TLF’s purpose and represent the diversity of the communities we serve\, inclusive of gender identity\, ethnicity\, age\, sexual orientation\, disability\, and socio-economic backgrounds. \nEXPECTATIONS OF THE BOARD AS A WHOLE \nAs the highest leadership body of the organization and to satisfy its fiduciary duties\, the board is responsible for: \n\nProvide counsel and input to the strategic direction of TLF.\nEnsure the development and execution of a strong strategic plan.\nOversee financial and risk management.\nInfluence at the individual and community level to positively contribute to advancing the reputation and brand of TLF.\nEnsure the continued financial integrity and sustainability of TLF.\nLeverage knowledge\, expertise\, connections\, networks\, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve TLFs mission and goals.\nReview and maintain TLF’s governance and operating policies and procedures.\nfundraising and resource development\napproving and monitoring the organization’s programs and services\nenhancing the organization’s public image\nassessing its own performance as the governing body of the organization\n\nTerm: \nStart Date: November 2024 (2 positions).
